Stayton Safety Action Plan

The City of Stayton partnered with Kittleson & Associates to develop a Safety Action Plan (SAP) to enhance transportation safety for Stayton residents.

The SAP is a strategic plan that will guide the City's investments in transportation safety.

Stayton will adopt a Vision Zero goal as part of this plan, which is a goal of zero traffic-related deaths and serious injuries.

On April 3, 2025, the City held an interactive Open House to hear from the community about road safety concerns.

The City will be holding a second Open House on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Public Library (515 N 1st Ave, Stayton). Here is what residents can expect at Open House #2:

  • Hear draft solutions identified through technical analysis and community input;
  • Provide input regarding potential safety improvements in the SAP;
  • Explore visual aids and maps; and
  • Q&A with transportation experts.

Please see the project website for detailed information about the Stayton Safety Action Plan.
