A Solicitor is any person, representative, or employee of such person who, traveling from place to place, carrying goods, merchandise, or food products to sell, offer to sell, or to take or attempts to take orders for the sale of such goods or services or any type of personal property or service for delivery or performance in the future.
Solicitors are required by law to have solicitor's license when preforming any type of business activity listed above within the City of Stayton. Solicitor IDs will be issued to applicants upon acceptance and required to be on person when conducting business.

If you have concerns that a solicitor does not have a valid license, please contact the Police's Non-Emergency number, (503) 769-3421, to report it as they are subject to a fine.
