Calling all students from Grade 4-12 have you ever thought about what you would do if you were mayor?
Enter in Oregon Mayors Association's (OMA) "If I Were Mayor" Student Contest!
The "If I Were a Student" contest invites students to share their creative ideas on how they would improve their city if they were mayor. The contest is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn more about their city and envision the possibilities of their future.
The deadline for local entries: March 21st, 2025
The contest guidelines include:
- You must be enrolled in school within Stayton's city limits.
- Students must submit their projects to the city where they are
enrolled.
- Submissions must have an OMA Entry Form. (Entry Form)
- This contest is open to all students, including those enrolled in home-school and alternative academic programs.
- Submissions should be emailed by a teacher, parent, or guardian to the city's contest representative. For Stayton that is the Community Engagement Coordinator at csmithrud@staytonoregon.gov.
