Stayton Police arrested a Stayton resident, Robert Lee Allen Jr, age 36, the morning of February 19, 2026, on charges of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse III (ORS 163.687) and Unlawful Contact with a Child (ORS 163.470).
Allen became the focus of an investigation when Stayton Police received a report from an out of state agency. After a thorough investigation, involving coordination with out of state agencies, DOJ, and writing multiple search warrants, Stayton Police Department successfully served a final search warrant this morning and simultaneously took Allen into custody. The allegations involve online behavior. These cases require a thorough and intricate investigation to gather the appropriate evidence so they can be successfully prosecuted, and suspects held accountable for their actions.
As an arrest has been made in this case, any further inquiries should be directed to the Marion County District Attorney's Office. He will be arraigned at the Marion County Criminal Court Annex, 4000 Aumsville Hwy SE, Salem.
