Stayton Police Blotter - January 2026

This monthly police blotter contains a short summary of police arrests for January 2026. Please note this is just a glimpse into police activity in the City of Stayton that resulted in arrests and does not cover all calls for service.

January 7th – W. Maple St - Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person call. The 28-year-old male was identified as having an active warrant and being on probation. The male was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail.

January 8th – Shaff Rd - An officer recognized a Stayton resident from prior contacts as having a suspended license and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, the officer learned the driver also had an active warrant from Albany Municipal Court.

The 64-year-old male was arrested and transported to the Stayton Police Department, where he was issued a citation based on the court’s direction.


January 9th - N Third Ave - Officers responded to a report of a 63-year-old female trespassing. Officers contacted the individual, who was arrested for Criminal Trespass I and transported to the Stayton Police Department.

January 14th - N Seventh Ave - Officers received a report of individuals camping on property posted with “No Trespassing” signs. Officers located the campsite and contacted three occupants: two males, ages 38 and 39, and a 47-year-old female.

All three subjects had previously been trespassed from the location. They were arrested and transported to the Stayton Police Department, where they were cited for Criminal Trespass II.

January 15th – N First Ave - During patrol, officers stopped a 38-year-old male with a known active warrant. The male was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail.

January 30th – N First Ave - Officers were dispatched to a closed business following a report of a possible break-in. Officers contacted a 47-year-old female and a 39-year-old male in front of the business. The female was arrested for Criminal Trespass II. The male was arrested for Possession of Burglar’s Tools, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Criminal Trespass II.
