Stayton Police Blotter - October 2025

This monthly police blotter contains a short summary of police arrests for October 2025. Please note this is just a glimpse into police activity in the City of Stayton that resulted in arrests and does not cover all calls for service.

October 4th – Cascade Hwy - Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop, they detected indicators of impairment. After performing field sobriety tests, they arrested the driver - a 44-year-old Sublimity resident - for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. The driver was then transported to the Stayton Police Department for processing.

October 5th – N Seventh Ave - During a routine patrol, officers observed a known 37-year-old transient male who had outstanding warrants. The male was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail for booking.

October 5th – N First Ave - Officers responded to reports of two juvenile males causing disruption at the local library - throwing objects, scattering garbage, and removing a storm drain cover to toss trash inside. By the time officers arrived, the juveniles had fled on foot. Officers located them nearby. Both juveniles were cited for Disorderly Conduct.

October 6th – N First Ave - Officers responded to a report of cold vandalism at a local business. Video surveillance footage revealed two juveniles were responsible for the damage. Both juveniles were charged with Criminal Mischief III.

October 7th – Golf Club Rd - An officer made contact with a known subject who had outstanding warrants. The 35-year-old female resident of Stayton was cited for her failure to appear on charges from Marion County and Albany per the order of the warrant and issuing jurisdiction.

October 9th – N First Ave – Officers observed a male transient removing items from a business dumpster. As they approached they recognized him from prior contacts. Dispatch then confirmed he had an outstanding warrant. The 36-year-old male was taken into custody and transported to Marion County Jail.

October 9th – N Third Ave – A 32-year-old male arrived at the police department requesting a ride to Linn County Jail. Dispatch confirmed he had an outstanding warrant in Linn County. Officers placed him under arrest and transported him to Linn County Jail for processing.

October 12 - N 1st Ave - Officers observed a 47-year-old male resident of Stayton, known to have a suspended driver's license, pull into a local gas station. Upon contact, dispatch confirmed the subject had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and transported to the Stayton Police Department for processing.

October 22nd - Noble Ave - Officers responded to a call of a possible burglary in progress at a residence. Upon arrival, officers observed the 31-year-old male subject leaving the property and conducted a stop. It was determined that the male was subject to active restraining orders filed by the residents of the home (who were not present at the time). The property owner declined to pursue burglary charges. The subject was subsequently arrested for the restraining-order violation and was transported to the Marion County Jail.

October 24th – Wyatt Ave - Officers were dispatched to a residence following a report of a trespasser. The caller stated a known female was yelling and banging on her door. Upon arrival, officers located the 33-year-old subject outside, banging on windows and demanding to be let into the home. She was arrested for criminal trespass and transported to the Marion County Jail.

October 29th – N First Ave - Officers were dispatched to a reported theft in progress at a local business. Upon arrival, officers located a female subject seated in a vehicle in the parking lot. After reviewing video surveillance, officers confirmed that the subject had stolen merchandise from the business. The business also identified the female as the same individual involved in a previous theft that occurred in March.

The 41-year-old female was charged with Theft in the Second Degree, Giving False Information to a Police Officer, Identity Theft in the First Degree, and an outstanding warrant.
