The City of Salem’s water intake system is approximately two miles upstream from the City of Stayton’s water intake system. Due to the proximity of the two water systems and Salem’s test results being more recent, the City of Stayton recommended our resident’s follow Salem’s advisory as a precaution of a potential public safety risk.
