This monthly police blotter contains a short summary of police arrests for February 2026. Please note this is just a glimpse into police activity in the City of Stayton that resulted in arrests and does not cover all calls for service.
February 1st - N Third Ave - Officers responded to a report that a 27-year-old male had entered a resident’s apartment despite a no-contact order in place as part of his probation conditions. Officers located the male at the property, and he was arrested for a probation violation.
February 3rd - Westhaven Pl - Officers were dispatched to a residence regarding a report of injuries. Officers identified the 29-year-old male involved, a Stayton resident, who was known to the victim. The male subject was located and arrested for Assault IV.
February 6th - Westhaven Pl - Officers were dispatched to a residence on a report of a restraining order violation. The 48-year-old male, a Stayton resident, was arrested for restraining order violation and transported to the Marion County Jail.
February 7th - Shaff Rd - A 67-year-old Stayton resident was taken into custody after an officer observed multiple driving violations, including failure to maintain a lane and ignoring a traffic control device. The investigation resulted in an arrest for DUII.
February 8th - E Virginia St. - Officers responded to a report of a woman driving while intoxicated with her children in the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver — a 34-year-old Stayton resident — exhibited signs of impairment. While in custody, officers investigated additional reports that she had been involved in a disturbance at a residence earlier in the day where she allegedly assaulted another female. The subject was transported to the Marion County Jail and charged with Harassment – Physical, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII), Reckless Endangering, and two counts of Disorderly Conduct.
February 13th - Westhaven Pl - A 43-year-old male was arrested for Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree after officers responded to multiple reports of the subject acting erratically screaming and yelling in the streets and disturbing neighboring homes. The male was transported to Marion County Jail.
February 18th - E Kathy St - Officers responded to a family disturbance after a report of an assault. A 37-year-old female was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail on charges of Physical Harassment, Assault IV, and Resisting Arrest.
February 18th - Westhaven Pl - Officers were dispatched to a report of a male subject causing a disturbance outside a residence. While at the location, officers learned the male, a 35-year-old resident of Salem had an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail.
February 19th - E Jefferson St. - A 36-year-old Stayton resident was arrested following an investigation initiated after a report from an out-of-state agency regarding online behavior involving allegations of child-related offenses. The investigation involved coordination with multiple agencies and the execution of search warrants. The male subject was taken into custody and lodged at Marion Co Jail on charges of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse III and Unlawful Contact with a Child.
February 22nd - Wyatt Ave - Officers received a report of stolen property. Following an investigation, a juvenile male was cited for Theft in the First Degree.
February 24th - Wyatt Ave - Officers contacted a 19-year-old male in a parking lot and learned he had an outstanding failure to appear warrant out of Sweet Home. The male was arrested on the warrant.
February 26th - E Ida St - Officers were dispatched to a report of a male subject leaving a location in a vehicle while possibly intoxicated. Officers located the vehicle and observed it fail to maintain its lane and operate in a manner consistent with impairment. A traffic stop was conducted, and following an investigation, a 60-year-old Stayton resident was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.
