On Saturday, February 7, 2026, the City of Stayton provided notice that the pea gravel at the Quail Run Park play structure will be replaced with engineered wood fiber starting on Friday, February 13, 2026. This work is now postponed.
Instead, starting on Friday, February 13, 2026 through to Friday, March 6, 2026, the City of Stayton will begin refurbishing the play structure decks at the Quail Run Park. This project will include the removal of the existing deck panels, professional cleaning and surface preparation, application of new protective coating, and re-installation.
The purpose of this refurbishment is to improve safety, durability, and overall play quality for children.
