Stayton Police Blotter - November 2025

This monthly police blotter contains a short summary of police arrests for November 2025. Please note this is just a glimpse into police activity in the City of Stayton that resulted in arrests and does not cover all calls for service.

November 4th – N First Ave - While on foot patrol, an officer observed a 37-year-old transient male inside a public facility and recognized him as an individual with an outstanding warrant out of Marion County. The individual was transported to the Marion County Jail on a Failure to Appear warrant.


November 7th – Shaff Rd - Officers were dispatched to a local business following a report of a theft that had just occurred.  The female was reportedly running in front of vehicles, screaming, and acting erratically.  Upon officers’ arrival, the female subject attempted to hide by getting into her vehicle.   Based on information learned on scene, medics were called and officers were able to safely remove her from the vehicle and get her needed assistance.    The 39-year-old Woodburn resident was charged with (Physical) Harassment as she had hit a store patron and Theft III for stealing items from the store.

November 8th – E Pine St. - Officers observed a vehicle operating erratically and failing to maintain proper control, prompting a traffic stop. After an investigation, the 47-year-old male resident of Stayton, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.

November 8th – Whitney St - Officers observed a 29-year-old Stayton man, known from prior contacts, seated outside a local business. After confirming he had an active bench warrant, officers made contact and the subject was arrested.

November 8th – N First Ave - Officers received a report from a local business regarding a 38-year-old Lyons woman who was suspected of attempting to use a counterfeit bill, similar to past incidents at the same location. Following an investigation, the individual was arrested for Forgery I and Theft by Deception.

November 9th – Wyatt Ave - Officers responded to a residence after a person refused to leave the property. A 33-year-old female was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail and charged with Criminal Trespass II.

November 11th – Wyatt Ave - Officers were dispatched to a residence after a family member who had recently been trespassed returned to the property. Officers contacted the female in front of the home, arrested her, and transported her to Marion County Jail on charges of Criminal Trespass II and Violation of Release Agreement.

November 13th –N Third Ave - Officers responded to a reported physical dispute at a residence, where a 32-year-old man living at the unit allegedly got into a fight with a guest who suffered significant injury. Medics transported the guest to the hospital for treatment. Following an investigation, officers arrested the male subject, who was charged with Assault II and transported to Marion County Jail.

November 15th – N Gardner Ave - Officers responded to a report of a 28-year-old male at a property from which he had previously been trespassed. When officers arrived, the male fled on foot but was apprehended shortly thereafter. He was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail for a parole violation.

November 16th –  N. First Ave - Officers were dispatched to a local business following reports of a theft that had just occurred. The business provided the license plate of the subject vehicle. Officers were able to contact the vehicle owner and subsequently locate the female subject, a 46-year-old Lyons resident, who was arrested and cited for Theft II.

November 17th – N First Ave - Officers made contact with a 53-year-old female subject who had an outstanding warrant. She was taken into custody and transferred to Marion County Jail.

November 21st – Shaff Rd - Officers responded to a report of a vehicle break-in and stolen items.   Video footage showed the theft subject using stolen bank cards at a local business. Shortly after, the 47-year-old male subject was seen at another business. Officers arrived and made contact with him, locating several items belonging to the reporting party. During a search, officers also recovered a stolen firearm. The male was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail on multiple charges, including Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehicle, Theft II from a Vehicle, Identity Theft, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Theft I – Receiving Stolen Property, and Theft III from a Motor Vehicle.   Follow up was done and other victims were developed.   Additional charges were added.

November 22nd – Shaff Rd. - After observing a driver fail to stop at a stop sign, officers conducted a traffic stop. Signs of impairment were observed, and the driver, a 22-year-old Stayton resident, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.

November 22nd – N Third Ave - During traffic patrol, officers observed a vehicle stalled at an intersection for an extended period and, while driving, failing to maintain its lane. A traffic stop was conducted, and following an investigation, the 48-year-old male Stayton resident was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.

November 23rd – E Santiam St - Officers made contact with a 63-year-old Salem resident who had an outstanding warrant. The male subject was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail.

November 24th – Hobson St - Officers responded to a welfare check. At the residence, they located a male subject who had an active restraining order and was not permitted to have contact with another resident in the home. The 34-year-old male was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail for violating the restraining order.

November 25th – Hobson St - Officers observed a female with a known outstanding warrant. Contact was made with the 48-year-old subject, who was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail.

November 27th – Mill Creek Rd - An officer observed a vehicle speeding and failing to maintain its lane. The driver, a 25-year-old Aumsville man, was stopped, and following an investigation, he was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Open Container in a vehicle.

November 28th – N First Ave - An officer observed a male who he knew had an outstanding warrant.   The 29-year-old Stayton resident was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail on the warrant.
