07/14/2025

Stayton Police department completed an investigation into a historical case involving reported sexual abuse that occurred in Stayton, Oregon. Stayton PD collaborated with DHS, Liberty House, and Marion County Sheriff’s Office on the investigation and sent the case to the Marion County District Attorney’s Office for review per standard procedure in Marion County. The investigation was presented to a grand jury, who returned with an indictment for four counts of Sex Abuse 1 and one count of Unlawful Sexual Penetration 2.

Specifically, the Grand Jury charged Christopher Seibert with sexual abuse of a minor for conduct that occurred between 2022 and 2023, while he was employed as a vice principal at Regis St Mary’s in Stayton, Oregon. By the time the report was made to law enforcement, he no longer worked at the same school. He was subsequently employed by St Joseph Catholic School in Salem, Oregon. Both schools cooperated with the investigation.

On July 14, 2025, officers located and arrested Christopher Seibert, age 56, of Stayton. He was booked into the Marion County Correctional Facility on Sex Abuse in the First Degree (ORS 163.427) and Unlawful Sexual Penetration 2 (ORS 163.408).

Anyone with concerning information related to Mr. Seibert is urged to contact Stayton PD at 503-982-2340. As an arrest has been made in this case, any further inquiries should be directed to the Marion County District Attorney's Office.
