
STAYTON, Ore. -- The Stayton Public Library is excited to announce a visit featuring photographer and author Greg Vaughn on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the E. G. Siegmund Meeting Room. There will be a reception accompanying the event.
Greg Vaughn is a freelance photographer specializing in recreational travel and the natural world. His photography is regularly featured in leading travel magazines and websites such as National Geographic Traveler, Backpacker, Travel & Leisure, VIA, and Travel Oregon, and is distributed worldwide through a network of photo agents. His photos have won awards from the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), the North American Nature Photograph Association (NANPA), and the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA)
Greg wrote and illustrated the travel guidebooks Photographing Oregon and Photographing Washington, both of which are both winners of Benjamin Franklin Awards, the annual honors for editorial content and design from the Independent Book Publishers Association. His latest book, Oregon, A Photographic Journey, and his smartphone app Oregon Coast Photo Guide are also award winners. He also leads photography workshops, working both with private clients and for Muench Workshops and Yellowstone Forever, delivering custom itineraries and experiences for avid photographers and travelers.
