The Stayton Police Department enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate Special Olympics Oregon - Marion County athletes and other athletes from around Oregon this weekend as they competed at the State SOOR Fall Games.
The weekend started with Opening Ceremonies at Providence Park. Handing out medals to the Special Olympic athletes is always a highlight for officers. Chief Johns also had the honor of being able to put on her soccer cleats and join a unified soccer match on the
Timbers turf alongside other supporters and partners of the program along with Special Olympic athletes as they competed in a full field competition.
