Kids Free Book Day!

To celebrate Martin Luther King Junior’s Birthday, we will have a free book for every child who comes to the Stayton Public Library on January 20th.

Make-and-Take Crafts 

Come try out a variety of self-guided simple crafts! We provide the supplies, you bring your creativity. This program is appropriate for all ages.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover at Pajama Storytime!

The stuffies are invited to sleep over at the Library! Join us for our evening pajama storytime, make a cozy pillow for your stuffed animal, and enjoy milk and cookies together before you tuck them in for the night! Pick up your friend the next day (or anytime over the next week) and see what they were up to while you were away!

Maker Lab: Paper Circuit Valentines

Design a card and light it up! This program is geared for independent makers, but all ages are welcome.  Younger children benefit from adult supervision and support.

Kids STEAM Lab: Chemistry in the Making

Experience the thrill of scientific exploration with this selection of STEM activities! Although this program is best for 3rd grade and up, younger ages are welcome with adult supervision.

Read Across America on Dr. Seuss’ Birthday

Join us in celebrating a nation of diverse readers, honoring a classic children’s author with fun stories and activities to encourage a life-long love of reading. This program is intended for children of all ages.  Monday, March 2nd, 3:00 pm

Get up and move to the beat of our favorite children’s tunes!  This program is for children and family members of all ages.

Toddler Storytime -weekly
Come explore the world of early literacy through play! Content is planned with toddler-aged children in mind, but all ages are welcome.

Preschool Storytime -weekly
Come explore the world of early literacy through songs and rhythms, stories and rhymes. Content is planned for preschool-aged children and up, but all ages are welcome.

BabyTime! -weekly

Give Baby a taste for early literacy through movement, songs, rhymes and play! This program is intended for infants up to 18 months and their caregivers.

Family Storytime -monthly

Come explore the world of early literacy through songs and rhythms, stories and rhymes. This program is for children and family members of all ages. 
Monthly, First Saturday at 11 am


The Softer Side of Storytime -monthly
Play along with us as we explore literacy through our senses in our new sensory storytime! This program is intended for families who are looking for a smaller, more adaptive library experience.
To support a safe and welcoming place for children of all abilities, space is limited. 
Monthly, Third Friday at 10 to 10:30 am


Pajama Storytime -monthly
Join us for an evening storytime featuring books and songs. Don’t forget to come in your pajamas and bring your stuffies! Pajama Storytime is after regular Library hours, but please join us through the meeting room doors on the North side of the building
