Pending Staff Decisions on Land Use Applications
 
Under the terms of the Stayton Land Use and Development Code the Planning and Development Director has the authority to review and approve certain types of land use applications.  These include minor amendments to previously approved plans, minor amendments to existing development that did not go through a land use process when they were built, and site plan review applications for developments on vacant lots for which the area of development is 5,000 square feet or less.
 
When an application is subject to staff review, there is no public hearing.  However the Planning and Development Department must send a notice to the neighboring property owners that the application has been received and give the public at least 20 days to review the application and make their comments.Staff-level decisions may be appealed to the Planning Commission, who would then hold a public hearing.
 
Applications pending before the Planning and Development Department and recent decisions are listed below.

 

Bridgeway Recovery Services has submitted an application for minor modification of a previous approval for 380 E Jefferson St.  In 2016 the applicant received approval to convert an existing single family dwelling to a Residential Facility for occupancy by 7 or 8 clients.  The applicant now proposes to demolish an existing shed and construct a 562 square foot addition on the northeast corner of the existing home.  The application and the plans submitted by the applicant are posted below.  The Planning and Development Department will not make a decision before May 1.  Comments may be submitted to the Planning and Development Director up to April 30.
