City of Stayton Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program

The City of Stayton has funds available to assist homeowners make repairs to their homes.  The funds are disbursed in the form of a loan secured by means of a second mortgage on the property.  There are no monthly payments required on the loan -- the loan is repaid when the home is sold.  Interest on the loan accrues for only five years.

The Housing Rehabilitation Program can help homeowners repair or replace roofing, plumbing and electrical, dry rot, foundation issues.

In order to qualify for a Housing Rehabilitation Loan, you must be the owner of the home, not renting.  The home must be within the City Limits of the City of Stayton.  The home must be owner-occupied.  The combined income of all adult member of the household must be under 80% of the median income for Marion County.  The brochure available below gives the current income requirements, based on household size.  You must have equity in the home based on upon 85% of the Marion County Assessor's real market value for the property.
