Find the Library at Your Place - National Library Week
04/19/2020

It’s National Library Week! And although the Stayton Public Library is temporarily closed to the public, we have been working hard to bring resources to your home virtually via staytonlibrary.org and through our Facebook page. The Library has subscriptions to various services that you can access from the comfort of your home such as downloadable ebooks and audiobooks, Ancestry, CreativeBug, Kanopy, and more that you can find at http://www.staytonoregon.gov/page/library_eresources. These resources require a CCRLS library card, but if you do not have one, you can create a temporary one at http://www.staytonoregon.gov/page/library_cards.

Stayton Public Library staff have been in the process of creating online content that can be viewed anytime such as fingerplays and songs on YouTube and a Motion Monday playlist on Spotify. We are also doing live Storytimes in Zoom. We are working on expanding these offerings to include craft videos and virtual book clubs. In addition, we have created a curated list of learning resources and activities for all ages. All of these can be found at http://www.staytonoregon.gov/page/library_online

If you need access to the internet, SCTC has installed a new Wi-Fi hotspot that can be accessed anywhere in the Stayton Library’s parking lot. When using Wi-Fi, please maintain social distancing measures by staying in your car or keeping at least a 6-foot distance from others.

Looking into the Summer, you can look forward to a Summer Program for all ages, but it will look different than it has in years past. Make sure to like and follow our Facebook page and sign up for our email newsletter at http://www.staytonoregon.gov/page/library_news.
