This summer join us to "Build a Better World"
The Stayton Public Library is excited to announce the theme of the 2017 Summer Reading Program for all ages: "Build a Better World." By serving all age groups, the Library brings lifelong learning and literacy to our community as well as encourages reading as a family. This year, we will be featuring programs and activities to highlight different ways to "Build a Better World" at home, in the community, and around the world. Sign-ups begin June 12, 2017.

Kids can look forward to fun activities Tuesday afternoons. On Thursdays, there will be performers such as jugglers Henrik Bothe and Rhys Thomas and funny man Michael O'Neill to entertain the whole family.

Teens will read to win prizes in our raffle, also anyone who reads at least 5 books will win a bag! Every Friday afternoon will feature fun activities such as life size games, repurposing old books into something new, and more. There will be an after-hours kick-off party on June 23rd which will feature a variety of board games, minute-to-win-it games, and Nintendo Wii.
Summer Reading is not just for kids anymore, adults can get in on the fun once again. The adult program will feature raffle prizes for readers, theme related book discussion groups, and more!
